Can I
paint, stain, or water seal
CorrectDeck?
You will never have to apply
a water sealer to CorrectDeck.
Doing so will not yield the
positive results you would get
when applying it to natural
wood products and it will eliminate
the opportunity for applying
a stain in the future since
most water sealers contain a
wax-like component that will
prevent other coatings from
adhering properly.
Once CorrectDeck has weathered
for at least one season, a good
quality solid oil or latex stain
can be applied. Do not attempt
this process on new material
as results will not be acceptable.
Always work the wet edge of
the stain to avoid lap lines.
It is best to work down the
full length of a few boards
rather than across the width
of many boards to avoid this
problem.

What is the best
snow removal procedure with
CorrectDeck?
Any type of salt or ice melt
can be applied to CorrectDeck
as any wood surface along with
the use of a plastic tip shovel.
Please do not chip at any thin
ice or directly on CorrectDeck
as it may damage the surface
of the material. See CorrectDeck

hard surface due to the mixture

day to day wear and tear such
as moving furniture around.

What
is the proper way to handle
and store CorrectDeck?
CorrectDeck should be stored
on wood supports placed approximately
every three feet and under a
dry lumber cover or tarp. Rainwater
that wouldn’t stain a
deck will stain stacked lumber,
so remember to keep it dry.
